This Privacy Policy describes how ('we', 'us', or 'our') collect, use, and disclose your information when you use the MyNewNorth service. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
#1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your Google profile information (name, email, avatar) when you create an account, and the goals, categories, and progress data you input. We also automatically collect technical data through Vercel Web Analytics, which may include your IP address, browser type, device information, and usage patterns. This data is anonymized where possible.
#2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to: (1) provide, maintain, and improve the Service; (2) sync your progress across devices; (3) analyze usage trends to enhance the user experience via Vercel Analytics; and (4) communicate with you about service updates. We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.
#3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We share data with trusted third-party service providers solely for the purpose of running the application: Supabase (database hosting), Google (authentication), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
#4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on servers provided by Supabase. We implement industry-standard security measures, but please note that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
#5. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, port, or erase your personal data. You can export a JSON backup or permanently delete your account from the Settings menu. If you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
#6. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14. If we become aware that a child under 14 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information.
#7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and performance cookies (via Vercel Analytics) to understand how you interact with the Service. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
